PCS NEWS - 08/10/04:  PCS is having their 7th Annual Customer Appreciation Golf Outing. All proceeds from this outing go to Make-A-Wish Foundation.

PCS NEWS - 02/26/04: Precision Computer Services gets an A from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory at the University of California. PCS is the University's key IT supplier providing hardware, software, and networking equipment. The University has commended PCS on its delivery timeliness, quality of goods and services, communication, and attitude. PCS provides IT products and services to the West Coast through its experienced Phoenix, Arizona branch.   

PCS NEWS - 07/21/03: PCS successfully completes Boehringer Ingelheim’s (BI) Sales Force Migration Project. The project involved configuring 2100 laptop computers for BI’s sales force. All data and settings from each salesperson’s old laptop were transferred to newer Compaq Evo laptops.  A 40 person task force was deployed from PCS to complete the transition in 3 weeks.

PCS NEWS - 06/24/03:
PCS sales and engineers win MS Partner Windows Server 2000/2003 Best Practices for FY03. The ease of migrating from Windows Server NT 4.0 to Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition allowed this upgrade to take place with minimal downtime. SERC was well trained on NT but had little experience with Windows 2003. PCS and SERC worked together, creating new users, profiles and policies that left SERC with all of the tools necessary to maintain and manage their environment. Click here for full story

08/19/02:
Precision Computer Services has been honored with the "Employer Support Freedom" award. This award is given by the Department of Defense to companies who support employees with full pay while serving in the Reserves and National Guard. PCS believes strongly in the support of personnel who serve to protect our freedom and guard the United States of America.

- 04/18/02:
PCS has been awarded a $307,500 contract for Citrix MetaFrame XP by the State of Connecticut Department of Information Technology (DOIT). The Citrix software will be used by the Department of Mental Retardation (DMR) and the Department of Social Services (DSS) as part of a state wide program to reduce information technology costs and improve end user performance. PCS was retained by DOIT and DMR in 2000 to test Citrix MetaFrame with a suite of software programs ranging from basic office applications to terminal emulation for mainframe legacy systems. PCS also performed load testing on DOIT’s LAN to determine MetaFrame’s impact on bandwith usage, and to determine optimum MetaFrame server configurations. The results of this testing led to a successful 300 seat pilot at DMR in 2001, and department-wide implementation in 2002.

CONNECTICUT NATIONAL GUARD AND EMPLOYER SUPPORT GUARD AND RESERVE (ESGR) TO SALUTE PATRIOTIC EMPLOYERS
Seventeen Connecticut Employers to be Honored

EAST GRANBY, Conn. – Governor John Rowland will honor and present awards to seventeen Connecticut employers who demonstrated outstanding support of their employees who serve in the National Guard or the Reserve Forces, Tuesday, May 15 at the Air National Guard Base at 8:30 a.m.

During the ceremony, Rowland will present an official statement proclaiming May 13-19, 2001 as “Connecticut Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve Employer Appreciation Week”; the coveted “Pro-Patria Award” will be presented to Peter Peterson, Executive Vice President of The Watson Group in Wethersfield, CT.

Peterson not only provided outstanding support to his employees but also the families by sending care packages of food, candy and books with company donated phone cards enabling family members to call overseas.

Precision Computer Services, Inc., of Shelton will receive the prestigious Freedom Award 2001. 

Other businesses honored will receive the “State Chairman Awards.” These honored employers were chosen from among hundreds nominated by their employee/soldiers for their support and their understanding of the growing need and dependence of the Reserve Component to the National Defense and peacekeeping missions. 

The awards are sponsored by the Department of Defense’s National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), and coordinated by its local ESGR committee. 

Following the presentations, the awardees will be flown on a KC-135 aerial tanker from the New Hampshire Air National Guard and observe a mid-air refueling exercise by A-10 Fighter Aircraft from the Connecticut Air National Guard’s 103rd Fighter Wing based at Bradley Field.

Precision Computer Services Inc. (PCS) assists the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION of Connecticut at the annual “Customer Appreciation Golf Outing”. I'm sure that many of you are familiar with Make a Wish Foundation and the inspirational work they do with children. For those unfamiliar, The Make Wish Foundations mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses. Recently, at the annual Golf outing, PCS joined forces with the Make a Wish Foundation in an effort to help make a small child's dream come true. We are happy to announce that through PCS and the generous contributions of individuals during this event, we are able to send a local child to Disney World. Her name is Katlin, age 7. Katlin lives in Wolcott, Connecticut and is diagnosed with Aicardi Syndrome. Katlin has been battling this disorder for some time. She is anxious to see Mickey and all his friends. Katlin will leave for Disney on October 18th, 1999. Our thanks to PCS and its clients for making this possible.
