Dear Mr. Michael Fitzsimons:
Please accept my personal thanks to you, your company and employees for the generous donation of $2,283.00 to the American Red Cross in response to the catastrophes of September 11, 2001. Your compassion in the face of such horrendous events is part of what makes America great.
Your donation is also important as it reflects your trust in the American Red Cross and its ability to relieve human suffering in times of crisis. The American Red Cross has been on site from day one providing services to the victims, families, and rescue and relief workers around the clock. Thousands of victims’ families have received immediate financial aid in order to assist with living costs, travel and other necessary expenses as a result of these tragedies. Grief counselors have provided much needed services for victims, families, emergency and rescue personnel who have been profoundly affected by their experiences. The work of the Red Cross is on going and your contribution makes it all possible.
Enclosed is a recent newsletter highlighting some of the information gathered over the last several months. A few of the many fund raising efforts of community groups and schools are also listed. Please take a moment out of your day to share this with your staff. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Again, our deepest gratitude for your compassion for your fellow Americans and your continued faith in the American Red Cross.
Very truly yours,
VALLEY AMERICAN RED CROSS
