In the HP 9000 Server product family, the HP 9000 Superdome Server is the
proven high-end server that is now faster and more scalable. With the
release of the PA-8800 processor, the HP 9000 Superdome Server and HP-UX
11i offer enhanced performance and double the capacity of previous HP 9000
Superdomes. A great box just got better!
The introduction of the new PA-8800 processor enables HP to now put two
CPU cores on a single chip with the same socket. As a result, HP 9000
Superdome Server can now scale to 128 processors delivering the raw power
needed to perform any compute intensive task.
The family of HP 9000 Superdome's family of servers scale from four CPUs
all the way to 128-processors with 1 TB of memory, hard and soft
partitioning and 32GB of peak I/O. With support for over 1400 applications
and high results in all of the key industry and application benchmarks,
organizations can feel confident that Superdome is market proven for
mission critical environments.
